How to watch ITV HD on DM800 on Gemini

You need to add in your lamedb file (var/tuxbox/config/enigma2)...

In the HD section near the bottom between BBC HD AND ITV4 HD

Save then send the settings to your DM 800 and all then works fine.

Doesn't seem to work here, when I upload via FTP, it seems to keep re-creating the original file upon reboot? Is there a recommended text editor to use in Windows? Is there a way to manually add the channel from Dreambox itself?

if you have not done it like this it wont work you have to scan itv hd in first

- make sure you scan the transponder with ITV HD channel 11426.00 H 27500 2/3
- open /etc/enigma2/lamedb and search for a line that contains only "10510" text (this is the name broadcasted for ITV HD)
- delete 3 lines (one before that line, the "10510" line and the line after it) and replace with the text at the posted by me previously in this thread
- execute "killall -9 enigma2" from telnet session right after you save labedb
After enigma is started you should get the ITV HD channel. This should work in any diseqc config as long as the transponder is scanned before the change in lamedb.

ive tryed this by the word 5 times now and every time the dream,box reboots and theres no channels stored at all.Its as if ive just got it out of nthe box and need to rescan all sats again

ive ftp this file over my xcisting one and it has removed some of my channels as i expected but itv hd is still no listed in the menu

ps just how do you execute "killall -9 enigma2" step by step as this might be where im going wrong

i dont know what your are doing wrong first off i have give that lamedb to a lot of people and it has worked for got to say about the chan mess up also you have to scan itv hd in first ( ITV HD channel 11426.00 H 27500 2/3 ) thats what you need to do first then go in and edit the lamedb save it then pull power wait a couple of mins then turn back on most times its a black screen some times it has itv hd and then you get stuff on it if you wan to upload your lamedb files i will edit them restore image then scan in your sats then upload them here and ill sort it

heres what i do exactly starting from a fresh gem 3,8 flash

1. i scan all channel on 28.2e sky uk
2 i then sacn transponder 11426-h-27500-2/3 and find channel 10510 which i believe the dreambox sees as a data channel but is itv hd
3. i then reboot stb
4. i then ftp with flashxp to my lamedb file and right click in flashxp then select edit which then opens this file as a text file
5. i then click veiw/find then type 10510 and it highlights this text near the bottom of the lamedb file
6. i delete the line above and below and the line that just says 10510 that was in the middle
7.i then add the three line in this post just as it appers in the posts
8.the save file and ftp back to my dreambox
9. within 10 seconds of the file being sent pull power on dreambox at rear
10. 5 mins later reapply power

and then no channel/sats at all driving me crazy i mean its a free to air channel ffs well sort off

can you see it in your tv guild also i use dcc when i do it not that it is much different but thats what i used

i have never seen it in the t5v guide as i lose all channels and sats when editing the lamedb cofig

ill try with dcc

just tryed with dcc and still the same just dont understand this the only thing i can think of is the image

using new gemini image m8 that is strange if you lose all your chans after doing the edit can you do a rescan and send me your lamedb
