for your info this is posted everywhere about digi-tv to-day
              ***************************************
Digi TV disconnected Nagravision 2 for the first programs DigiFilm 1 and 2
RCS / RDS, the operator of multi-regional satellite pay-TV Digi TV, made today 12.2.2010 in the morning change in conditional access for the two programs. PPV (pay per view) channels 1 and DigiFilm DigiFilm 2 are no longer distributed in the old system Nagravision 2 (CAID 1801). These stations are offered to customers in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic.
Film Programs DigiFilm 1 and DigiFilm 2 are now only encryption system Nagra Media Access and Systems CAID 1802 and 1880 (both Nagravision). In practice this means that the operator has started to phase disconnect the old system Nagravision, causing them considerable financial losses due to the possibility of unauthorized reception of paid content.
Channels DigiFilm are still the only programs from the menu Digi TV, which are no longer encrypted with the old system with 2 Nagravision CAID 1,801th Platform operator disconnected the old system at the most attractive of its offer - PPV services. This confirms the information server parabola.cz that the exchange of encoding cards in Romania, and is gathering pace. What happens next? Probably will end the old system Nagravision 2 for premium channels like HBO, gradually even the basic menu.

with a linux box you dont need to change receivers
as this will do everything the other linux boxes do
apart from upgrading to a HD model but thats your choice

                        newbie no you havent.

1w has been going this way for a long time. if you have a motorised dish and a linux receiver you will still have the potential to access more channels (via cs) then you will ever need.

there are no gaurantee's in this hobby mate
and the n3 encryption has been used by satellite
providers for over two years now and we have lost
lots of chns on various sats but i'm optimistic and
hope that as one door closes anouther opens, and
who knows what will happen next, it's the guy's with
standard non linux boxes who will be watching and
checking what they need to change to or use to get
                            the channels open,
