dm500s help please

I'm using an ubuntu 9.10 OS about 3 weeks. No Windows on my PC. I'm satisfied with this but I don't know how can I make backup flash of image or flash the image on my box......I tried to use the source of DreamUP downloaded from ihad, but no luck. When I tried flash backup my dm booted succesfull but no saved image anywhere. Also I'm tried DreamUP_1_3_2_1.exe with wine using minicom, but I got an error that there is no COM port. I tried to link /dev/ttyUSB0 (here is my usb-rs232 converter when I pluged in) to /.wine/dosdevices, but I got error too. can anybody made flashbackup from or flash image to box under linux?

you can still use the telnet method to make the back up and the ftp the backup to your linux box

i know that guide is for windows, but you can telnet and ftp from linux as well very easily

thanx for your reply, but is it safe? The best way is flashing img with dreamup, but I can't use that under linux. I tried everything without any result
