Upgrading to HD

Hi all is it worth upgrading to a Technomate TM 6800 HD or Technomate 6900 HD from a TM 5400 super. The reason behind the 6800 is the price the reason for the 6900 is there is some going on?- bay for what looks like decent price. Not to sure I want to go down the CS route but it may be the only way to go soon knowing i will need another box. Would I need cards, cams to watch HD or is there any free. Other boxies could be spider box or could you name some other up to around ?200-?250 bearing in mind the price if I have to buy a D2 cam or a card.

New TM HD linux out in end of March. Will be sub ?200.

If you dont want the hassle of a linux box connected to the internet the TM6800HD is fine but the only FTA HD is BBCHD, ITV1HD(when its on)&Luxe on 28.2E and a few german channels on 19E there may be on or two others dotted about as well.

can a linux box be used the same as a standard STB until you want to go down the CS route. Do all HD boxes need two feeds like a sky box

yeah I"ve got a TM500 linux box not connected to the net.and it works fine its not so user friendly as the std boxes though.
you only need 2 feeds if you have a 2 tuner box for recording. my TM6800HD gives good HD pictures its just there is not much FTA HD content out there.
