patch and keys for TM 5300 D+

hi All, I am new at this and would appreciate a little help to get me started. I have a TM 5300 D+ and would like to update patch and some keys to be able to view some more channels. I tried this before but did not work as I dont know how to do it properly.

Download patch and unzip to usb, also the same with softcam.
Insert usb into receiver then select usb-data transfer-patch-ok and the same with softcam.

Let me know how you get on. If doing a factory reset at any time make sure if motorised you write down your settings and upload channel list.

the patch is Phantompatch-TM-3000D-P-V3.65 23-08-2011.rar
which extracts to Phantompatch-TM-3000D-P-V3.65 23-08-2011.bin

can this be installed via USB? Any how-tos?

The softcam zip/rar file extracted to SoftcamAll.key - again, any ideas on installation (presumably only once it has been patched?)

both can installed to tm with usb
in the usb menu goto data transfer menu scroll onto the patch first and press ok once tm is patched it will see the softcam file
same for this make sure your usb is fat32 formatted
softcam changes every so often make sure to only use the latest softcam

a patch is unofficial software which allows your stb to read certain viewing cards, run cam emulators and open some channels by using a softcam or inconjunction with a broadband connection and friend. regards mdt

So all you have to do is put the patch on to the tm and then download a softcam and do the same with that?
