    linux

    some advice required please.
I've already got protek9600 and the Spiderbox but feel nows the time to learn a little more so obviously thinking Linux.Have red a fair bit but feel working with a box and reading at the same time would be better.
I would rather not spend a fortune untill i am conversant with linux so some advice would be appreciated.
I have looked at DM 500(clones obviously) and 600s.
would this be the way to go while learning rather than spending a fortune on the higher market incase i never get my head round it or are they all pretty much the same in the way they work. Are there other makes which are more newbie friendly to the linux world or do i just go for the best i can afford and get stuck in.thanks

Technomate 500 ?65 or TM600 PVR ?85 del on ebay. Not clones and unlike dreambox 500/600 they have rf out and 2 scarts. These boxes are well supported and very stable.

If you plan on getting a better box once you understand the works then get a dm500s clone as they will sell easier. They all run enigma so are very similar to operate. Its like windows on a pc.

Read the Rules here; they apply to Everyone.
