Can anyone assist me please. I am looking for a box for a friend and suggested that he get a eurovox max v only because I have one and is going great. After looking on ebay and seeing lots for sale I discovered that none of them are supplied with firmware. My first question is this, if I buy one where can i find the information and firmware in order to load it up (idiots guide)? Second question is, alternatively I can purchase an EX 1000 SL, is the firmware for this box the same as the max v? If so, great, if not, where can I find the information for this box? Hi Luckjockey.
The EX1000SL firmware is different than that of the original Max V,
All Eurovox's only ship with FTA (Free to Air) channels, but a modded image inclusive of keys are easy to find for these very popular receivers.
Also may i suggest the EX1000SL is a very good box but has it's limitations no TV out just scart connections.
I would IMHO go for a EX5000SL without the hard drive for a little bit extra money.
