    Dreambox 800HD Remote Control Help

    Dreambox 800HD Clone :/

I got this box today and plugged it all on and it booted up all just fine.. But i cant use the remote with it? The remote is confirmed working on my 500s box..

Could it be a hardware problem? Image fault?

    Thanks AJ

        Hi mate found this info

the front pannel comes apart very easy
i took the easy option and got a complete unit as i could not locate the correct IR Reciever
You could try to re position the IR by bending it a bit first

        1. Take off DM800 cover and front panel.
        2. Take off cable from mother board so you can take DM800 front panel off.
        3. Remove 2 screws and remove board with IR receiver.
        4. Raise sensor from board at 90 degrees and use pliers to take it off the board. Leave a bit of legs so it is easier to solder.
        4. Take new IR receiver (38khz with same legs pinout and parameters).
        5. Solder it on the board. You will need a sharp soldering iron and solid hands. So, drink for courage before the operation is not recommended
6.Put it all back in reverse order. If you dreambox when you turn on does not respond to remote - do not panic. Check again the quality of soldering. If it looks OK - look for another IR sensor.
