tm600 pvr and dish ordered now what.

ok having read about this box and that box cable satalite etc for the last 48 hours i stumbles accross this forum which i must say is fantastic and very userfriendly, i have opted for the Technomate TM600 pvr, cardreader and usb and a DiSEqC 1.2 motorised one metre dish + 02 LNB.

i am a total noob to this but a very quick learner so hoping the above setup correct.

what is the best way forward to get the best use out of this setup and is there anything else i have missed ?

i take it all i need to do stick the wireless dongle in it then patch it, add keys to get all the funky stuff and thats it?

also what are the best satalites to point at for sports?

also i have a dedicated server that i use for other stuff is there any funky stuff i can do to intergrate with this setup?

these boxes are fine but not plug and play and need a bit of work to set up.I suggest you read all of the following threads,in the TM section,"yippee my dish is up"and "help needed tm 600".and all other related threads to give you some idea of whats involved.you dont patch these boxes you put 3rd party images in that can be found on this site you will also need a technomate control center 7.1 also available on this site thanks to "fearona"you use the TCC 7.1 to load your image via rs232 null modem cable.The internet side of things I will leave to others more qualified to answer(I"m a dunce on that) best of luck and dont be disapointed if its more difficult than you thought.

ps:I"d get it all setup and working correctly before try to mod it.

thanks for the welcome and advice mate, that will help me by only reading the info i need to rather than getting confused with all the different models

i decided to get an expert in to set it up for me as i really doubt i would get the wall mount plublined straight (just ask the wife about my selfs ) hes coming tomorrow.

so i can consentrate on setup more.

just one question can this box do everything and i mean stuff we are and are not allowed to talk about on this forum that a dreambox can do?
