    priiloader question

    Hi

Softmodded my 4.2 all works fine and wondering about making a backup just in case.

Can priiloader be used after modded? as thought i read somewhere that it can be used after modding but then also read somwhere else DO NOT USE PRIILOADER afrer modding

    Any help will be appreciated

      Ok thanks

Read different things about priiloader and wondered do i just put priiloader into the apps folder and run it or do i need anything else or need to set anything?

Does it need bootmii or hackmii or anything?

      Regards

            Sorted thanks

One question when the instructions say to enable the block disc updates i see there is an option underneath to enable block updates via network - should I enable this aswell?

Also, I have noticed that I have a bootmii folder which i must have copied of my sd card onto my pc, the folder contains three files armboot.bin, bootmii.ini and ppcboot.elf. where should i keep this folder? in apps, in root or should i put the three files somewhere on the sd card

            Regards

yes block updates via network, you can always switch back if you ever want to update
bootmii folder you put in root of sd card if you installed bootmii as boot2 then you will need to rename folder or your wii will boot to bootmii everytime you turn on your wii

if you start homebrew channel and push home button, bootmii will start if it is installed as ios, then you can put bootmii folder on root of sd card and reboot your wii if bootmii was installed as boot2 it will boot to bootmii

                    ah right ok

I dont think I have any bootmii installed even though I have generated a bootmii folder somehow.

Can I install bootmii after modding or can the bootmii folder i have be accessed by priiloader and install the backup or is my bootmii folder only any good with bootmii installed?

Do appreciate your help, its a great learning curve

                    Regards

Ahhh sorted - stuck my bootmii folder on the root of the sd card and when i turned wii on i got a grey screen with bootmii options so the bootmii folder is the bootmii software, ran it and did a backup - jubbly - renamed folder to stop bootmii booting up

Many many thanks for your help.

Gonna have another go on a black wii today so hopefully got it all sussed now.

                      Cheers
