best image for dm500

If you want something to get you started, try the PLi Jade 3, but I recommend the openPLi it is a nightly Beta compile you'll be amazed.

Tried to flash dm500 clone with PLI Jade3 and now the box won't start.
Even tried to connect with dreamup without luck.

Is jtag th only option left?

Nope, if the flash has become corrupt you'll have to use a null modem cable to re-flash and get it back working again.

You can still use DreamUp to do this, just uncheck the network option in DreamUp and it'll take around 5 mins to flash... You of course will also need a PC with a serial port on if you're using a null modem cable, not all have them these days...
