I am getting the kit to do this in the near future. Might order it tonight. I will have a go. Its not worth sending it because when new FW comes out you have to do it all again. Il just buy the Kit and Probe and do it myself.

If you want to look into flashing xbox drives i suggest that you read up on it. I bad flash can cost you ?120 if you dont get a key

ah jesus em which bundle on ck3.co.uk do i gets? REV D or REV C . i kno rev c is cheaper and it does the 74850c aswell so should i get that one with the probe?
oh and i have an intel chipset should that work?

the ck3 kit is basically a way to connect your xbox drive to your pc with an external power

One with probe and invest in a VIA Sat 6421 PCI card. This also be needed.

A lot more reading is needed before you attempt this. As cunny mentioned you will could end up with a ?120 quid DVD player should you make a mistake or even worse you could end up fring the drive

Cheaper getting VIA Card only ?5. That way you can do it on anu chipset.
