hi guys... i had spare eurovox ex1100 whis is working fine. i sent that box to my friend in linconshire he did connect it today but he only getting free channels? why is that? i cant think of anything wrong as he does know these firmware and stuff i did everything for him in my place (gatwick) is it differant firmware for differant places?

chennels coming as "no signal" after recent scan just some channels r coming.

I seem to remember reading that Nagra 3 had hit parts of Lincolnshire,if you have deleted all channels and done a deep scan,not much more you can do ....Comment

he has basic virgin packge but if the chennels comng on as no signal it should be siganla problem isnt it? but when he connect virging box channels r working ..... i cant come arround this ......

The Eurovoxes are very sensitive to signal strengths,if they are not high enough then they won't work,whereas Virgin cable boxes will...the only thing I can suggest is that he connect the box directly to the incoming cable,with nothing in between,then do a deep scan,making sure all channels are deleted ....it should then, by rights, work ok,since you say you had it working ok ...but it might just be that he needs to try a signal strength booster available from Argos ...Last edited by telecom69; 8 March, 2010, 03:57.Comment
