Does anyone know if the Eurovox EX5000 has a normal IR remote signal or is it the IrDA signal like on most virgin standard cable boxes?

From memory its standard IR. As I have also use both Harmony 885, (works for most buttons), and a Philips Prestigo SRU8015 which has the codes listed under Sat as Euro-vox.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas Adams -

The av signal is very good but I cant get the remote to work.
I got the wife to keep pressing channels whilst I moved the transmitter downstairs to see if it was a positioning thing. Every now and again the channel would change on the second tv but if I left the transmitter there it wouldnt change again. Any advise appreciated please?Comment
