Hello everybody,
I am considering buying either AVDI from Abrites or the cheaper Magic Dash CAN.
Has anyone used one of these tools on Audi A6 cars from 2005 onward?
General comments on the tool?
Cheers

If you have a lot of money, then you can buy Abrites. Because I bought K+CAN commander and after some weeks, then they released AVDI, so if I like more updates, then I have to buy a new interface. And it is not first time they do that. So if you buy Abrites, then remember after some time, then they release a new interface and you need to pay for AGAIN, to get future updates.
Sure, they've updated hw a couple of times (I think two times and the AVDI being the third interface) and we can say what we want about that, but I think their new interface with multiplexing features is more future proof than anything else. Only time will tell, anyway.
Another fact is that r/w flash/ counters for VAG is free on the AVDI platform, and the same goes for simple multibrand diagnostics for those who needs that.
As for the question about the tool (AVDI) in general, I like it. It does what it says and I have never had any problems with it. The only difficulties I have experienced was communication with the company.

Thanks guys for your answers.
I got AVDI with no extra modules, I will get some later on.
I hope it will be good enough to swap my A6 dash.
I regret only having spent money on CarProg, I have not been able to make it work for anything
I tested on the golf 5 2.0 tdi from 2005 dash ok but ecu didnt work ,someone can help me thank you.
no ,you dont need to short the fuse but ecu it write ''write error''
I was asking you because AVDI seems unable to connect to my ECU, which should be a ME7.x, so I was wondering if I needed to short the wake up fuse
Magic Dash Can not working with a6 2005 cluster
