I have too... but my interface has no serial no.
I bought from Smok about two years ago, it's original.
But... it hasn't described functions...

Contact your smok dealer...
Or just in case check the board and all connections... Reflow the board and replace usb cable or check the connections on the cable...
As far as I know it myst show the serial if the unit powers up and is connected properly...

Both interface are ORIGINAL from SMOK I have.
They are well-working tools.
Only as I said, it has no serial no. (only Fiat tool)
But works.

Szkeptmen have right ,good idea..I was search for datasheet for this NEC but nothing. Its marked as NEC MYS 503T ( maybe coded like Bosch ) what is right mark this IC? OK this is uPD78F0503 but is one problem...reading flash command not exist.
