Is it Possible to set up Satellite Broadband with a Motorised Dish?

I have a 100cm dish and motor but I am just wondering is it possible to use it for broadband. I ask this because were I live there is only mobile broadband and it is very poor and also if you go on to a satellite broadband providers website they charge you around ?500/?450 for their equipment and installation.

Has anyone tried to get satellite braodband using their own dish or is it possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

its a completely different LNB mate, thats what the money goes on..

You couldn't do it with your motorized dish as when you moved it from the lock on the broadband satellite your internet connection would go..

You need specialist equipment mate.. sorry

you can recieve broadband via satellite with a pc sat card and some software. however you still need a phone connection to make the request for the info. not sure about how it works but i was able to recieve stuff from other customers with a bit of software but it was just loads of random stuff to me. but yea its expensive (but u know that now)
