    Yes, lift the pin where goes the red cable, but let the red cable on pcb.

    Did u try this polat? Was it successful?

    I tried on 3 occassions to do a golf 5 with r250 interface but I was unsuccessful. However I did not lift the pin on crystal as I was unaware that this would possibly help!!

    It would be great if you could let us know the outcome pls.

    And just thought i'd mention that if pin 118 snaps off processor dont panic.....vehicle will start and run fine although you may not be able to alter mileage after this!!!!

    Skoda Octavia
    and message:

    Tried to lift xtal pin, but no sucess...

    i have same problem with my r250 and octavia 2008 dash, anyone have solution for this or can i do this dash if i program 24c32 in service mode and after that program new km?

    i also try to lift xtal and blue white wires pins but still no connection... any other solutions??

    impossible to put octavia or golf5 via dump into service mode.
    what micronas is used on this ocatvia dash? if it is cdc3272 it will not work.

    i think it was cdc3217, i dont have this tacho here right now but i am 99% sure at it was cdc3217 and 24c32 eeprom..
