VW Polo Odometer correction possible

Hi guys, never bothered with anything like this before, but my polo had some problem with sensor the odometer worked intermitently and now the millage is incorrect..

the reg is 05

what do i need to correct the millage?

So you need a higher mileage? :-), there are two options, you can adjust your car by OBD2 with a special tool like vag+k commander or program direct, remove cluster, remove needles, remove eprom 93c86 read adjust write.

Possibly the Eeprom is wrong, remove it and compare it with a good dump of a similar dashboard.

how much is a ODB2 and where can i source one?

thanks for your advise

since sencor change car is running perfect and now odometer adds miles, etc.

also how do i find actual millage, is it stored any where else except dash?

hey guys sorry to be a pain, just to be sure is the following what i require?

VAG-COM USB KKL OBD 2 Cable AUDI VW SKODA SEAT VAG COM on eBay (end time 13-Apr-10 20:04:41 BST)

I am a little bit unsure cause it says only vehicles upto 2003

i got the software, but just wondering is vag commander 5.1 ok for the job? also their are other softwares such as vagtacho 2.5, etc.. which is best to use?

The software isn;t enough you also need a vag+k commander cable, if you wnat to do it cheap buy an older version like this, it will do the job:
