    Anyone having a 'Lock-bit error' on a DM500S, try this:
    (worked for me);

    In Dreamup, after your box has been connected, powered up & acknowledged, click FLASH (not flash erase).

    Select your image file.

    A pop-up window will ask if you 'wish to carry out a flash-erase also' - Click 'NO'.

    Your box will (should) now flash the image - you will notice it will automatically carry out a 'flash-erase' in the process anyway, then boot up the image you just flashed.

    Hope that helps ;-)

    Default Similar problem maybe.

    As a newbi I had a similar issue, what I did I checked the communication between my pc and dreambox, and then I deleted my dreamup and installed again and it worked for me. I did the flash erease yes and then reload the image with flash erease not. That is all.

    Most likely these errors are caused by using a USB to Serial converter. Try using a PCI to Serial card in a desktop PC instead. Should be no further issue using dreamup.
