and I didn't say it is not VIN coded! You read it carefully...
and doesn't matter VIN is wrong(changed) or radio installed in other vehicle, the result is the same - it will ask for the code.
In this particular case I think owner is trying to install it on different vehicle, that is why it is asking for the code.
There are a few options to resolve the issue now:
1) To find out what is correct code from dump
2) To try change old VIN number to the current vehicle VIN in the dump (address VIN starts in dump is 0x2C3)
3) To ask dealers for the code.
