Default N14 Cel Plus ecm 3408300 with Fault 111

    Hello joe gp,

I was able to check on ECM today. Here is information:

    Engine Serial No: 11928574

    CPL: 2590

    ECM P/N: 3408300

This ECM has a Fault 111.

Please share dump file for this ECM. I would like to learn how to reprogram the EEPROM.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi poptest

That cpl is generic to the other common n14 engines..meaning the following cpls would work the same:
    2025
    2391
    2592

I don't have 2590 cpl as I usually reprogramme to 2025 and it works perfectly.

If you would like..I could send u the dumps for 2025 on Monday and remember you have to reprogramme all three eeproms not just 28c64.

What are the numbers on the other eeproms; and on what ECM part numbers can I use your dump file/s?
This is getting to be real complicated. I do have to study before I proceed.

    Thanks a lot joe gp

The other serial numbers are 28f512...

The dump files I will send u can be used to replace the cpls I listed above being 2025 2391 2592 all of which are n14 engines....

    Find right programmer
Compatible adapters for each eeprom size and
Know which dump for each eeprom.

    Hello joe gp,

    Right now, I have two C+ ECMs, a 3408300 and a 3096662, both with fault 111.
They won't accept programming from Insite, and I get this error message "ECM-C(7) Calibration download failed".
I did a robboot on the 3408300, and it still would not accept a calibration transfer from Insite.
Since I don't have any experience or equipment to program eeproms, do you know if Calterm can fix it without having to replace the eeprom?

    Thanks in advance

    hi Poptest
Sorry just seeing your post now have been offline for a bit but hope i can help you with this, if programming fails with insite try using calterm.i usually program with insite and when it fail;s leave insite at the stage and open calterm without disconnecting insite and just copy the ecm code to a folder on my desktop and use that to calibrate the ecm with calterm. dont know what DLA you use but Nexiq allows me to connect to the ecm using insite and calterm at the same time.
    Hope this helps
    Regards

Hi Guys, need some help I had as similar occurrence where I followed the instructions to turn off the key whilst calibrating an N14 Celect Plus and the calibration failed. Now I cant connect to ecm via insite 7.6 nor calterm. I tried to connect to ecm in unlock mode on calterm and the ecm can not be detected so I tried on anther vehicle and the ecm can be be detected. So now stuck as calterm wont connect to ecm nor will insite. I read on one of the post someone talked about using insite boot? ive never used this feature please assist me if you have any idea how I can get connected to the ecm again.

    thanks in advance

Insite doesnt have a boot mode unless you are flashing with it.Then it is automatic. What you need is a bench cable with rom boot switch. That will manualy put it in boot friend.Usually works for me.

There are a number of resistors on the board, you have to specify which section it is that you are trying to fix... otherwise check all the transistors surrounding that area for short circuit.

    don't forget to thank
