Programming 29f400 and similar

GQ4X does 29F.200 /400/800 the adapter and tool are very cheap ..i use it for these and no problems so far

I'm going to buy a Willem GQ-4X to read 29F200 (and such) flash memories.

There are two types of adapters for this job.

1. PSOP44 to DIP32 with socket

2.PSOP44 to DIP32 adapter without socket



$8


so there's HUGE difference in price!!!! Will the board without a socket work with the Willem GQ-4X?

work perfect with 29fxxx
id,read,verify,erease,write,all perfect
but you need to clean well the pin of chip

If someone need a extra low cost programmer look for TOP3000 I have one and it use 1:1 pin adapter's so it easy home made...
Good software and fast.

With suitable programmer, 29f200 29f400 29f800 can reading & writing anytime.
I use smartpro-x8 & psop44 adapter.

Your programmer is a willem, isn`t it ? I have one too, works for 29Fxxx perfect. But i use soldering adapter because of bad contact in socket, easier for me to use hot air tool than to dig for finding bad contacts

no,just put 29fxxx in his adapter(and diconnect "jumper28fxxx/29fxxx" in adapter and go go go
i never used adapter cable with willem
i read in other forum,that this cable must be connected to erease some 27cxxx electriquery
but i don't test it
