    BUMP:

    Myth confirmed.

Unplug and skank the immo box, (from memory) far right pair of wires, black/blue join to black, golderen oppertunity for a Scotch-lok

As you crank wire becomes live, through starter inhibit relay.

    Small board

    1) Unscrew lid, wobble back and forth till it snapps off
    2) Unsolder untill out, watch for SMD resisitors

Took approx 15 mins, including looking at ~~~~ on the net
    VERY easy to do.

Yes MIL light will be one, find the wire at ECU first and cut before you immo off, yes you have to

    a) Cranck long time for it to start
    b) Wait a few seconds then cranck - instant start.

    Hi all,

Tried all the suggestions above on 2001 Prelude but when I remove the small board, no communication with pcm and car won't start.
    Any suggestions?

I think Prelude have different setup. There spouse to be small black box located on the end of steering column under the dash.
Wires from ignition antenna are connected to it. There is eeprom inside... But not sure how to bypass that. There was post about that before.

If the bypass board is fitted from Doc, does the MIL/Immo light operate correct and will the car start normally without waiting. thanks...
