    Default opel DISPLAY SAFE

    hi, iv had a few cars, astra, corsa, vectra etc

    they hav had differnt radios fitted and it says display safe on the screen

    i knw the display and radio are "married"

    is there any way of fixing this problem??

    Yes, you must enter code. Turn on the radio while pushing AS button, then it shows "----" then code can be entered by num 1/2/3/4.

    1 for first position
    2 for second etc........3 for 3rd... 4for4th

    push the number so often not until it shows correct number.

    It means the radio is not from the vehicle mate ... ...Needs viginised and reprogammed to the vehicle .. or the the display from the same vehicle fitted ..

    i havnt got the display from the donor vehicles
    how do i virginise the radio mate?

    I think it an be done with opcom mate but not sure how ...If i remember its on here somwhere ...

    i recall that thread some time ago aswell 2 be honest
    but i also remember that you need both security codes
    thats why i wanted 2 know if theres some other way

    Display safe means the display hasn't been paired with the radio you have. If you virginise the radio you can then pair it with the display using a tech 2 or similar. As long as the display is original to the vehicle. It can be done by matching a paired set of dumps but there may be later issues using that method.

    With display safe it is the display that is the problem and not the radio. The radio is sending information to the display that doesn't match. I am sending you a PM.

    Hi Guys, have the same problem on my corsa C Mabura from South Africa, real need your help. if some manage to find soution please help

    My opel corsa C (gamma), came without a radio, so i went and bought a radio at the scrap yard and connected it with my display..but now it says "DISPLAY SAFE" can some hello sorting this out. these are the details on the radio sticker.

    the bar codes have these numbers

    i can unregister followed radios:

    CC20, CD30, CD30 MP3 with SPI EEprom
    CD30 with I2C EEprom
    Vectra C Display with 93C66


    Read dump and post here, i wants unregister.
