you have to wait till it says "done",,

    <--marvo added 5 Minutes and 5 Seconds later...-->

    Type in .
    protect off 10020000 107fffff
    Press enter then type in
    erase 10020000 107fffff
    Press enter then type in
    cp.l 120000 10020000 1F8000
    Wait untill it says Done.
The procedure take about 2 minutes

i can't seem to do it that way
Hyper Terminal has been removed in vista.

there is a different version in Vista, but ive never tried it yet, so hopefully someone will try it and PM me if it works or not.

But if you click on Start/All programmes/Accsesories/Command Prompt

    then type in winrs /?

this is supposed to take over from the old Hyper terminal, just follow posts 1 and 2 using that.

EDIT : download a programme called puTTY here , give that a try.

    Hi,

I've been trying this but my dbox freezes with two blocks on the lcd screen not the normal 5 blocks and then the 'lade..' screen. Any idea what this might mean and how to fix?

    TIA

If you have a ethernet crossover cable you can flash it using a ftp proggy to transfer the image to the /tmp folder on the box and use the dbox menu's to flash it
or you can use IFA to flash it you dont need the uboot file with either of these procedures plus it only takes about 5 minutes to do.
