    Default Nissan Consult Ecutalk USB Interface Schematics

    Does anyone have usb schematics of interface like this?

    is it "usb to ttl" interface? if so, 5v or 3.3v?
    what about clock pin 153khz (9600baud)? is it needed?

    this is serial com interface scheme, but i look for usb one:

    Instead MAX232 you have FT232RL + few his peripherals for correct work.

    thanks m8, but where can i find usb schematics with FT232RL?
    is there any schematics based on ftdi "usb to ttl" converter + few more components like resistors and transistor? (very easy to build)

    i think it must a very simple interface like this, with no need of programming any chip (like atmel, pic, etc)

    anyway, i think i can build this serial (rs232 com port) version and use my cheap "usb to rs232 converter" (<3€ on ebay) because interface works at 9600 bps, so there will not be speed incompatibility problems

    maybe i could even remove max232, and connect chip directly to usb to rs232 converter

    and what's more, connect transistor to "usb-to-ttl converter" and forget about serial port
    cp2102 version:

    prolific version:

    i think cd4060 chip could also be removed as it is meant for 153.6khz clock, that is, 9600 baud, which we can take from any of the converters

    suggestions?

    I've already told ya. On first or second schematics, replace MAX232 with FT232. That's how you can get USB version. Now, you can't remove CD4060 because, communication logic in Nissan cars don't have internal clock, so you need to give it this way. That's for older cars. For newer you don't need external clock.

    which one is correct, can someone help?

    original rs232 (data reversed; rx-tx and tx-rx)
    -------------
    pin J1 pin max232
    1 Rx -> 11 Tx1 IN
    2 Tx -> 12 Rx2 OUT

    modded option 1 (as in picture above; data direct rx-rx and tx-tx)
    ----------------
    pin J1 pin usb-ttl converter
    1 Rx -> 4 Rx
    2 Tx -> 3 Tx

    modded option 2 (data reversed; rx-tx and tx-rx)
    ----------------
    pin J1 pin usb-ttl converter
