Hi. My VCI doesn't read VIN. When you input VIN manually it only scans Engine ECU, Transmission ECU and ABS ECU. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks

If anyone interested, a DSlogic log from a working and non working interface attached from the mainboard - PIC communication.
Interface was a "lite" version initially, with transistors instead of HCPL couplers - was working but not really stable. Lexia 7.83 killed it (was onlione for a short time)
Fixed by soldering the HCPL optocoplers, replacing PIC and flashing the "C" serialnumber - plus resoldering the board.
    Now stable

I found the wiring diagram for my OBD2 connector. The diagram shows 7020 is ABS ECU, 1630 Automatic Gearbox ECU, 1320 is Engine ECU. All those ECU reply when scanned. The problem is the BSI on Pin 11 doesn't reply and because of that a lot of things can't be scanned. Anyone know why the BSI doesn't reply?

Thanks. I see a lot of people talking about the octocouplers causing problems. Do you think replacing them might help in my case? I'm a bit reluctant to buy them since the VCI was €70 and the replacement octocouplers alone are €60

i did not know that they were expensive, but this is a decision that you have to make alone.
I think that 50% of time these break.

    Hi,

can you explain please what does this mean exactly ?

"Lexia 7.83 killed it (was onlione for a short time)"

I have the same issue like in previous post. My VCI doesn't read VIN and only scans Engine ECU, Transmission ECU and ABS ECU. It is a full-chip rev-C board and I am almost sure it was working with BSI some years ago when i bought my car and this interface. Unfortunately it is possible to went online when i tried out different DB version.

Being online really can kill it ? Is there any way to fix again ?

    Thank you.

For example on 2004-2005 Citroen C3 I can't connect with Engine, ABS, Steering and Transmission (no problem on other modules of this car).

Greetings to all. I have a Chinese Lexia3 and have had problems with it.
    I own a Peugeot 406 2000 year (Bosch MP 5.2)
I connected the Lexia to the car and it works great on all calcs (BSI, ABS etc).
But there is ONE BUT - she does not want to see the ECU.
I brought SEPARATE wires of the K-Line diagnostic ECU into the OBD Socket and still nothing happened.
Pin 7 has 12 volts, pin 15 has 6 volts.
K-Line does not want to turn on from my Lexia.
Can I modify the Lexia or read the K-Line by other stuff?
