Default Audi Q5 2018 BCM replacement

    Hello Everyone

I have a Q5 2018 with a water damage in BCM2. I have purchased a used BCM2 with same part no. and same HW version. I am little hesitant about doing it online , some say it can be done some say it can not be done as used immo parts are not getting adapted now. So I do not have much options left here.
Car was starting with original BCM2 with some function not working.
It have Renesas Chip R7F7015683 is it possible to read and write old and new mcu using vvdi prog , also will that be easier to swap the Car orginal mcu to the the donar one . Can it be done

Please let me know , i am stuck for few days now.

The correct way to do this job(I did one the other day) is with a new part and ODIS. Took 20 minutes for adaptation/svm/cp start to finish.

MLB Evo is barely supported for keys, let alone immo data transfer and unlocking CP. There's no solution I know of yet for immo data transfer on MLB Evo platform BCM2s.

Old keys are fine, ODIS will write the correct immo data then re-learn keys during the programming procedure.

Must be either virgin, with clean identity, or from this specific vehicle

Yes, to code with ODIS BCM2 must be brand new. The '17 Q5 I did it wasn't even horrendously expensive.

it should be possible, to use a secondhand bcm2. Not remember if we did this before,,
Anyway, just try to remove cs first from the replacement bcm2, then proceed. it works with lots off immo vag parts.

And select your car yourself, by typing your cars vin, not autoselect, with a strange bcm2 plugged in.

Xhorse, does give you the options, to alter some bcm2 data.
Just make a programmer backup, if you can.
And you can not go wrong.

Vvdiprog, can adapt the bcm2 immodata. So never try a full clone!
Not sure, if all years and vesrions are covered.
