Wich version do you have? ISM or DSM (SIEMENS or Continental) What year of production.

You can read both with xprog, then post ee and i will virginise it.
Other method MBCan, DS, VVDI, NECPRO, or Vediamo
I do not use broken PAYPAL, i use Transferwise

It is a Siemens unit (ISM).
Vediamo?? 4real??? I have that software, but have no clue how to use it properly...
here is what I read from original MCU (ST10F269). seems to be the flash only (no eeprom section when I read with SMOK jtag).
If that file seems to be ok, I could read new unit the same way and post it here. (I just don't want to open the unit if this read was incorrect... especially if I can find a way to do that job via OBD)
also, I included the pinout point from back of the board (took me almost 2 hours to figure it out... if I can save that time for someone in the future, my pleasure!)

    thanks!!

edit: tried to upload my picture for pinout, but they are to heavy I think... DK don't let me upload them.
if anyone need this, PM me, I'll email them to you.

double edit: look at next post for those pinout! cheers!!!

if anyone need it, here is the dump I took from the donor's ISM.
when I compared both files, it looks like my original flash is damaged-corrupted, so I guess I can only renew...
any help is welcome on that!

also here is a link for the pinout on back of the board of ISM:

Hi, I'm trying to read with X-prog, using "wiring diagram for 3M25J mask" diagram (which corresponds to x-prog instructions), but so far no success. How did you read it?

    regards

look at post 21... he seems to say that there is 2 version of MCU, one that is secured and the other that is not. if it is unsecured version, maybe you'll have to lift reset from board as he mentioned. if secured version he said that he needed to lift reset and extal-clk.
    hope it helps!

Hello . Also had the problem with a ML350CDI from 2011 with the ISM. New ISM installed and could not be trained. Problem was the EZS that disturbed the CAN bus. New EZS installed and all the ISM trained and working.

    Dear Brazil_mb,
I have read that you have post in this forum information about ISM modul. I have one not working ISM with following fault codes: 1994, 1904 and 1974.
I have open it but can not see visible problem. Could you please tell me how can I fix this problems.

    Thank you in advance!

    Best Regards

Should I unzip your ISM, and soldering them rebuild. You need to lose weight gearbox and let it down. ISM's is fixed in three screws. After you get you have to remove all the silicone you will find the shape and Torx screws. You have also screw in the center.
After you've opened, you may find a cold solder joint to the connector or to find a little engine brushes blocked (80% of cases)
