i have the Ford vcm ids , after update now is locked , have anyone solution ??? Please help

Its a clone unit you have.

I don't think there is a solution.

I know that in my country you can change adapter serial nr...and it`s work ok!

Clone one VCM can not update, if you update, it will not work again.
Maybe you can send back to the dealer to repair.
Or ask other sellers to help you fix.

What happens when your VCM is locked? Any chance of a screenshot? Lots of people are having probs with latest VCM's it would be good to know what a locked one looks like to save any confusion...

not 100% sure this will work with a clone ?
but a gen usb to interface is a start cables are supposedly a problem on the small pcb in line to ids corrupting

again just a assumption due to repair that involves the pda cable as this the pda cable doesn't have this pcb in line ?

worth a punt with a gen lead i guess

looking at sellers feedback...everyone who has bought this repair cable has left good feedback for it so i would say worth a gamble. could ask seller if he provides software or walkthrough for repairing device. good luck

Hi,

Install Jag Land rover software on a diffrent pc or partiotion, plug your vcm to a car or power source and when you turn start JLR it will gives you the option to do a recovery. After you've done that reinstall Ford IDS on your computer and put the ORIGINAL version back on whichever your interface come with. Start IDS and update it back to it's original version.

I just dont understand why everybody is so obsessed of having the LATEST version of everything!!! why can you just be happy with a working one??????????

when u mean locked is ids saying ur subscription is expired with red box or ur unit is black listed??

and also would help if u told us what version ids u using

there is a way to change serial no of vcm without opening or any special adapters / cables

just normal realtek usb cable and telnet
