Did you try this - if so it is a disaster.

I won't rush to buy software then just yet

It has crashed durning flashing and battery reset cant do nothing because old flash was erased and new writed only partialy.

I did a 2002 alfa 147 (lost keys), mcu was 3k91d, AVDI read it first go, then i went to a fiat stilo (spare key), tried to read bcm as 3k91d, avdi told me that the bcm has mcu 1k79x, so i choose to read 1k79x and avdi progress bar only goes to 26%, then 56%, then 36%, failed every time, even tried as a 3k91d but still failed.

Did have to do battery reset before car would start with ori key.

Fiat 500, grande punto and KA are eeprom jobs for now, but can do panda by obd.

i plug in it works but did not have much time to play about,very busy with other cars,but looks ok.

Any advice on this car please?


2010 Audi A3 1.6TDI (CAY Engine).


The key wizard says unable to auto detect the data, so I am trying to extract the PIN and CS to make a spare key, the engine ecu is a Simos PCR-2.1 1.6 and the software keeps failing to read it after 10 minutes and says to read again after leaving the ignition off for a while.


The VDO instruments do the same, they won't automatically read the pin and cs, if you go in to dash Can, the software reads for 10 minutes and fails, then says to switch off and retry after a while.
I have had the car since Wednesday and haven't managed to read it yet.


It is only for a spare key not lost keys so don't really want to eeprom it.


I have the car until Monday.

Peerlocks add key in car equiped probably with edc17. For this car you need xcan or carprog and eeprom dash preparation.
