Launch 429C Unable to update Mercedes Benz models

I have a Launch 429C diagnostic reader bought from amazon a few years ago, I know it's not the greatest but it has served as an ok diagnostic tool a few times.
I am just a diy'er and would like one of the fancier Autel units but this is what I have in my toolkit.
The Launch 429C has completed all other manufacturer's however the only one it fails on is the Mercedes Benz version V49.60.
I have already reset to factory standard and Launch UK doesn't want to know as this is a Chinese version... I bought it from Amazon prime same day delivery and it was my first propper OBD reader and
didn't know the politics behind these readers until afterwards....
So back to it.. The subscription has ended but I am still able to get updates but the only one that fails is Mercedes Benz and would really like to know if there is anyone else experiencing the same issues? and whether there is a fix
or a hack to be able to revert back or what ever to get this final file to install...

You are lucky to get updates after subscription ended. Normally doesn't update. So forget about the Mercedes and enjoy the rest

One of the cars I use it on is a Mercedes.... if it had been one I don't need I wouldn't have posted.
