just a general question:
This unit (ALPINE) is protected either with IMMO or CODE
So, if the radio is installed in original car it will not ask for the code right?
But if installed in NON original car then you need code to activate it? Is code enough to activate it in this case or dump must be changed as well to disable IMMO?

Hi Rdecode, for everyone else information...
This radio is unlocked by bmw iBus signal when communicating with the cars system. Yes R50/R53 mini cooper is BMW. There is no fancy special code inside the vehicle iBus system, this radio only looks for iBus communication of any kind. Best way to unlock ~DISABLED~ is using the steering wheel control pods on your bench testing station. You just need to connect the iBus data cable between radio and control pod and give +12vdc and ground signal to control pods and radio. OR you can use BMW E38 or E39 MiD (Multi-information Display) since this also has iBus communication.
I will try @aissa09 solution and see what needs to be changed in EEPROM to listen for CODE instead of iBUS messages.
Cheers

May be will be enough easy i-bus keypad emulator ? Tested with old radios like BM54, but not have now new units for test.
