    Strange VW8R airbag ecu

    Got a VW8 module - VCDS can't erase crash data... (!)
    Error code 00003 - internal memory error.
    I think Carprog will do the job - but can't erase too...

    Someone can help me with a tested solution, please ?

    Thank you wembleyhill but i get the same error. CONTROL MODULE DEFECTIVE. Can somebody else help?

    Not good. The problem for module defective is checksumm. Carprog solution is good but is not calculating checksumm.
