I believe superc0 only sent the last link to a few people, I don't know the link off hand, you can try PM superc0 and ask him for that last link

    bibms !!!

sometime ago I tried to do the update from you unto my 2Gig CF and it would not allow me to do so, I could only get it to work on a 1Gig CF, but now the update from Superc0 ask for 4Gig. How do I get your update to first work on a 4Gig? before I try and update with Superc0 file.

    Regards

We won't be applying the update with the updated software. Will only be using it to d/l the latest update. I will be releasing a seperated file that you will use to patch againts the image file downloaded by the updated. For now when the program asks to insert 4gig cd card just abort it, and wait till I upload the patch

the ngis update program asked me to insert the card before it downloaded the update

when i stick my 4gb card in it checks and downloads the 4gb update

so you may need a 4gb card to trigger it to download the proper update

i just downloaded the 4gb update to my card figuring that i could use it for now with my old smart cards

i put it in my scanner and i get an unsupported compactflash warning

does anyone knows if the genisys 4.0 2010 software looks to see if its a valid otc/simpletech cf card?

Yeah I will be patching that. Reason im releasing a patch instead of full image is to prevent 'leechers'. Besides i think the 2009 release should be good enough for everyone. But I was thinking of making just a 4gig image but I guess I'll be making patches for both size cards

Yes there is a cf check. And even if there wasn't using the update with the older smartcards would only enable the latest software revision of your year of smart card

i know but i cant get the patched version to work due to my scanner being preauthorized for 2008 domestic / asian

and 4.0 seems faster than 3.0 so i was going for something temporary in between

Well I was able to borrow a 4 gig card for the time being. So I've started the slow process of patching the latest update. I would like to have something out by today, but by the look of things it most likely will be tomorrow. I am gonna try for today though

just noticed euro 2010 was just recently released. looks like its a whole seperate update. the update im working on now only has 2008. there is a possibility euro 2010 might be included in an update from otc later on, but who knows when they will include it. it would be nice if someone could get there hands on the new euro cf card and create an imAge of it.

USB memory stick support sure sucks on these scanners. writing to usb is no problem, its only when trying to copy from usb is where problems start to arise. that lil problem has made me go another route to copy files back into the image. back to the days of 9600 bps transfers... this sure is going to be fun.... considering the amont of time i spend on on this little project, would it be wrong to ask for donations?
