In a nutshell, you will break the law and VM Terms and Conditions if you want to connect illegal non subbed equipment onto the VM network.
You can own the equipment that is not illegal YET.
So if VM where to come knocking on your door, you don't answer it...

pm what daz says is right but i would also advise you to keep your
vm box connected also,as for knocking on your door i strongly you
to not let them in to your house by law they must give 48hrs notice
in writing before they can gain access to your property
