my new t300 ame yesterday and cant communicate

just got a chinese t300 and ive tried it on 3 cars and cant communicate with the immobiliser ecu
they were a holden commodore
and a toyota camry

is this commmon chinese faulty crap and should i send it back

it has latets 9.8 version

Mate you will never communicate with a holden commodore with chinese key programmers. I use either a carmen scan or snapon modis scan tool to program commodore keys. I am sure that others on here also use x431 launch tools to do it as well. not sure if the launch out of china will do commodores but someone on here will have one and could tell you. I dont have a t300 so couldnt tell you about the camry.

t300 DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN!!

BUT: It is still a must have tool for me, can do a lot but not everything, also there are some leads/adaptors missing from the kit, but mostly only use the OBD lead.

Search on forum to make rover lead.

i have a pretty good scanner for aussie cars
the hannahtech
i plugged the t300 into my toyota aurion
and it all worked ok
i dont mind if it doesnt work cause its so cheap u cant expect much but its annoying that they say it does

i basically need it to program a landcruiser 2003 model which has lost all the keys
do u think it will do this

im thinking of also buying the sbb unit for similar price

I haven't done a 2003 landcruiser that has lost all keys, as I'm a newb myself but I believe that without the master key programming new keys isn't possible. I think that you need to program new keys via eeprom programming in the immo but I may be wrong

Hi Mate,I am in Brissy and know these things very well.

1. you can not use ANY scan tools to program Landcruiser 2003 as it uses a 4C chip, when all key lost you either reset the immo box or replace the IMMO box and ECU ( A$2500 from dealer)

2. The Chinese T300 works well on Commodore up to VY (even VZ) only if you get the adaptor ADC128 right. the adaptor from China has wiring wrong. I had to modify the wiring before I was able to program key for Commodore.

3. I use Carman scan with latest 10B6 software and was able to do Commodore up to VZ and WL for Statesman.

4. X431 can do up to VZ and claims being able to VE from version 36 released on 14/07/2011, engineer from Launch said he did the coding but has NOT proved it in real life yet.

Can you share some experience of hannahtech ? was told it is very good on immobilier , any good for VE?

i havbe the adapter so ill do a search and see what mods i need to do
hannatech is prety good mine is updated till 07 but i would not mind getting the latest one as does more than most of the others and i wont go near european cars so
dont need any for them
i can also use tech2 for holden as friend has it and he updates it with holden all the time
i also have tis for holden ecu programming which we use on imported ecus
next step i want to do is get nissan consult3

Which Holden ecu's do you program ? Do you program astras etc ?

mainly ls1 and later e38 ecus
can prob do astra but never tried
all same principle i guess
i do alot of 1hdte diesel motor wire ups into earlier landcruisers
and the wreckers we buy the late model motors from sent the wrong key to a match set
so i used a matched set of another motor whihc we got and it starst and runs fine

i refit the immobiliser and key form the matchied set to motor and it doesnt start
and i get a missmatched key dtc error
thats y i bought the t300 cause they recon it can prog immobiliser even when all keys are lost
i even have tried the small orange toyota smart key programmer but the instructions to most these chinese units are so stupid
anyway i will try to prog the missmatched key tomorow on this landcruiser without a master key
so lets hope it works hehehe
