regerstering IDS with ford

Looking to buy the OE rotunda IDS vcm. the cheapest ive found is from SPX for use with jaguar . I'm pretty sure this is identical to the ford one. My question is how do i get hold of the IDS software and register it with ford in the UK. is the IDS's software the same in the UK as it is in the states if so do you use the usa motorcraft web site. I'm sure this is possible. just not sure how. Most trusted UK sellers want around ?2500 -?3000. for a ford mazda jag and LD set up with dual boot. A New VCM with cables for around ?1200 from SPX jag this Leaves ?1300 for licenses and hardware. It must be cheeper to do it my self. any thoughts would be appreciated
