Launch X431-serial number change

Hey guys, here you will find how to change a serial number on most x431 devices, i don't know about newer ones but i have been able to change and update the serial number of one gx3 and another x431 tool today.

open up the launch and read the MPU on board "W77LE58" inside you will find the serial number and u can change it to whatever you want, if you can't do that, just send me your serial number and the file, i will edit it and send back to you

I use TOP programmer but anyother programmer will do, beeprog etc.

are you talking about the clone x431 or geniun one?

On diagun you mean in connector box?

yes you just open it up and read the MPU, you can change the serial number very easily or you post it here and i'll change it for you

Are You sure it is possible to read on-chip flash memory from LPC2368 from Diagun Smartbox? I've heard there is CRP (Code Read Protection) and it can't be readed.

I haven't seen the one with LPC2368 yet, i have only done gx3 and tool infinite and they both have the w77le58 chip inside them

I saw on ecutool,they have some picture on section download:

Probably they can prog chip with different s/n and sell you with new updates.I didn't send mail to ecutool to confirm is that true.

And I read for CRP on some forum:

Go to ISP -> Read Device Signature and look at the version of your bootloader.

If it is before 3.2 then CRP locks the whole device and erasing all blocks is the only way to unlock the device.

If it is 3.2 or later then there is an additional option added called CRP1 which allows any flash block except block 0 to be erased.

Are you sure,that S.N at the LPC2368fbd100,next chip is epm240t10015n(Altera)..?

I'm not sure. As I wrote in other topic, my Diagun is under warranty and I can't disassembly it yet.

Hi

I have got LPC2368fbd100 chip in my smartbox. I have got beeprog but I'm still green. I don't know what kind of adapter use to read? Maybe I can read it inside smartbox?

My device is I think oryginal one. I have got updates in Chinese. And mine smartbox is one of the first from 08.08.21. Last update is from 09r. Now I have to change my S/N to update my brand files.

Maybe there is file for change smartbox S/N with free with latest updates? Please help.
