they say the loader doesn't work very well with usb adapters. It is often cheaper just to pick up a cheap old pc instead.

Default openbox s10 - clone bricked - can you help??

    Hi Everyone,

I have an openbox s10 clone. I upgraded the firmware on it using a USB key and now it is dead as dead can be.

I have an RS232 cable and I was wondering if anyone can direct me as to how I can down load firmware loader software and also the latest working firmware for the openbox S10 clone.

I have tried to save items from the links, but on this forum but I've been advised I have insufficient privillages.

Thanks in advace for any assistance you can offer.

    Bob

    Default Dead S10

    Hi,

I have the same issue. First I have to try to fix it using the tools in this thread. I only have a USB to RS232.
Keep you updated if it worked using that.

the loader program will override any default comport settings,so you shouldn't have to mess with that. The channel editor as an example uses mark as the parity and overrides the comport settings also.

I've been trying for a while but doesn't want to guess. Actually I am not sure if my serial cable is null mode.

Don't think it's been mentioned: For a Skybox F3, use the config.bat 128M_SF_M3606 and check the include Bootloader box
