I tried to split .bin from the rar, into the flash.hex +eeprom.hex, using ponyprog2000, but when I open eeprom file with xtremeburner it says: "This file is too large for selected AVR microcontroler..."
What I am doing wrong?
edit: my bad, old version of pony, tried latest version and job done.
Cable works ok, not tested yet for long coding.
L.E. too bad, long coding not working .

plz help me how to flash my vcds 11.11 ( china clone )
mcu: D79F8513A
MCP2512
FTDI:ft232bl
thanks
best regards
that is a nec mcu, no hope for that for any upgrades. Ori interfaces had and have Atmega162 processor and not NEC. That is a ~~~~ cook made by chinese
P.S. The dumps i posted work on bm,bl,rl chips without any problems with those versions of programs.
If you like my post and it helped you please press THANKS.

It's normal you can not verify Atmega. Once you wrote it with fuses it gets locked.
So, you'll not be able to read it again for verifying.

@danielgatan
After reflash your cable it is working????
It is true that after reflash your dump will be encripted but can not be "empty".
thank you fantomel
best regards
hello everybody. i have genuine ross-tech interface with revoked license. there is no way to register it. it is blacklisted by ross-tech. There are atmega162 and ftdi 232RQ inside. Is there any solution to make it works?
hopefully this will work for me
thanks

Have a VAG 11.11 cable for a while (18 months).
Worked fine (could read codes, reset DTC's, change Long Coding, etc).
Recently, it seems it has become locked out saying certain functions need a license now.
I can only think that the Wi-Fi was on when I last used it and the VCDS 11.11 s/w has re-programmed the cable and blocked it.
Looking for help to see if it can be salvaged.
The chips on the board are:
ATMEGA162
GAL16V8B
93C56WP
FT232BL
MCP2515
TJA1050
Plus there's one empty chip pad set. See pics:
If it can be re-programmed, any pointers would be great (which programmer to buy, wiring the programmer, which dumps, etc). Once I have all the bits (H/W & S/W), I'll write up a guide as I cannot find one that is in one place. Thanks.
Still looking for help to repair my cable (with ATMEGA162, GAL16V8B, 93C56WP, FT232BL, MCP2515, TJA1050) .
Looking for the dumps for 11.11.
Device manager tells me the cable VID=0403 and PID=FA20.
