That's why ironically said that. As I read in many forums, atmega162 has no fuses to disable those. So the worst this you can do is set it up to use and external clock. Providing a clock is sufficient to recover the chip, no need to have high voltage programmer

Hi everyone. I have vag 12.12.0 chinese clone. worked fine for a while, and in one day when i tried to do a auto-scan, at some point showed me the message 'this function requires a licensed interface'. i checked 'about' and it shows unregistered. i used the software that came with the cable, which prompts to close internet con, and changes the date automatically. it's like a demo. i still can do some things whith it. any chance to make it fully working again? thanks in advance. sorry for my poor english .

Hello again, i finally opened my cable, in has atmega 162, and ftdi 232rl. Any advices how to make it fully working again?

During programming, do not forget to connect the interface to the car and laptop and run the vcds windows that you will use. (17.8.1, 18.2.0) or other.

Hello mates, I buyed a new vcds cable version 17.1 but when the item arrives the cd inside the package is damaged, I talked with the dealer and they send me a link to download the software, till there everything it’s ok but when I installed the soft I can’t find how to change the language to Spanish.

Can you provide me a version multilenguage or Spanish compatible with my vcds 17.1 ?

Hi there. If program doesn't want open than you have something wrong with Windows... vcds software/program should Run/open without connection vcds to USB.

Or

If you copy loader to installed vcds catalogue, try loader or all this catalogue in you antywirus added to trust. Some antywirus recognize loader like virus so try this as well.

I have installed vcds 17.1.0 and run fine but in English
, sometimes I see a label where say “ I must use a license software”

Let me know if you need photos from inside of interface to know what components has it got.

Today I see in the main windows when I click on vcds 17.1.3 est a windows where show “ ok “ but after that nothing happens

To update the cable or change the language first you need to check if you have an Atmega 162 chip inside (pictures in post 363). If so you can download the Kolimer V 6.3 activator and try to convert the cable via a usb or programmer.

At mine with 18.2.0 vcds work, but not ok.
Also i tryed on the table with ecu siemens pcr 2.1 and in long codding missing all info .
i rey with 16.8.1 and all info in long codding appear- where is the problem?
what loader need to use?

Hi. I had the same problem in version 17.8.0 PL. So I used the older version 16.8.3 and 17.1.3PL. After entering newer versions 17.8.1 and 18.2.1PL, everything is fine. Long coding works normally. The colimer did the next V7.0 activator. So maybe try updating the cable. Of course, if you have ATMEGA 162.
