I have an issue with one vcds 12.12.0 interface. After a low batery voltage on a car, my interface does not respond. On VCDS test it say "Interface not found error -99". This hapend a year ago, and it was fixed by the seller of interface for free (warranty). This happend again, last week. When I connect to USB, an over current error ocured. I open it, and the FT232RL chip was hot,(hot enough to remove itself from pcb). I orderd a new FT232RL chip, solderd in place, progrmmed with mprog. When I tested on VCDS now, it say "Interface found and not conected to car". When I connect it to car, the led stay red for 1 sec and after become green. If I test it now, it say "Interface not found".Try to open a connection with car (ECU) and appears error -2 no communication.
Any ideea how to fix my VCDS 12.12.0 interface?

OK I have a Dual-K & CAN Vag11.11 too with the same connection problem. It get's disconnected every 5 seconds. I've used lots of dumps from this forum but no one works fine for me. I uploaded some pics with it.

still no LED's , i write the dumps, thee eeprom snd the flash on atmega, but still the LEDS are not powering up 7805 is working any other ideas?

@umitasa I'm pretty sure your Atmega162 is clean or the dumps used are not the good ones. If your vcds worked before you have to try other dumps. What type of programmer did you used to flash the chip? What soft?

P.S: In time you write the dump on Atmega chip the led is blinking red?

some peaple asked me this VCDS 15.7.x atmega dumps.

I created a solutions this version, here is....

ENJOY all....

I need to know working or not? If you have an installed version the you need to save a d1,d2,d3 bins
After install the v15.7.x version and copy the files and plug the interface with this dump and run the sw and check the about page.

Gopelhu which V15.7.x version do you use? oem one? or where can I find it?

dont work. when plug dongle to supply interface not connected. without supply car not connected.

I tried china 11.11.3 unit

Ok, thanks for the info. I will create the d1,d2,d3 files and i will upload.

I see the interface found and the type of interface, its ok.

you can create 100 d1-d3 files because are useless. those files are just initial check , so smoke in the eyes of the user. That is all.
A good dump does not need d1-d3, it makes them on 1st test of interface and if is ok or not you see the sn green or not.

Gopelhu, thanks for vcds 12.12 dumps (from post). Now I alredy restore my china 12.12 cable with these dumps.
Cable have Atmega and ft232rl only (no GAL or ATF). So, I use provided SW (VCDS-Release-12.12.0-Installer English 512bits.exe) and flash atmega witch fw and eeprom.
No changes required for ft232. Atmega lock fuses leaved unprogrammed (disabled all locks).
I divide FW+EEPROM dump to separate files and convert its to Intel HEX, because I use AVERDUDE for flashing.

I like that everyone is asking for help.
When I help everybody, then they are criticizing.
Now I stop my VCDS assistance.

Then when I get a request for help is what I wrote last time, resolving all my limitations.

NOTE:

In mcu eeprom is serial number with come sync to GAL/ATF they need to be from same unit not corrupted. Software PC check this. if not pass - unauthorized...

P.S. 12.12.0 CODING dont working.
