estimated to be the oldest yet site of advanced (neolithic ) civilisation pre dating the great pyramids by 8000 years !
its only been investigated and archaeologists have dug just under 10% so far (rough estimate)
but astounding if the dates are confirmed !

Very impressive, obsidian is extremely hard to work even using modern machines. I imagine the manufacture of that item took endless patience and maybe even several generations participated in its creation.

What exactly does 'more advanced' mean?
Better at destroying the planet and squandering our natural resources?
There is a school of thought that mankind has reached and surpassed its current level of technological development many times before, and been destroyed before we manage to destroy the earth.
And take a close look at what we call civilisation. Hunger, poverty, greed, violence, depression, suicide, how many of us have meaning in our lives or can say we are happy?
Looks to me like we have a lot to learn from those that came before us.
