ottocheck dump works fine, but you need replace original b58xxx eeprom on any 24C02 from Atmel or ST ( to set write protect - lift pin 7 of eeprom from board and connect to pin 8)

try this dump (i have tested similar solutions on 0 281 001 708 and 0 281 001 333 ECUs)

You MUST change original 24c02 with 24c02WP .
Decoding your original file with ecuvonix,write on 24c02wp ,solder on ecu,lift pin 7 of 24c02wp and short 7 with 8 pin.

No coz the eprom being write protected prevents the immo writing immo data to it..

Hello Friends..

I have a 0 281 001 768 which needs immo off because the immo is damaged......

I'm really confused with this one, I made new file using usual suspects from my original file but it does not work..

My confusion is reference the "Write Protect" part... I used new 24C02 and lifted pin 7 and bridged to 8 as seen in another post.. This pin out don't match UPA suggestion however its reported to work

Then I read about using 24C02WP eeprom and lifting pin 7 If a WP eeprom is used and write protected why would legs need lifting ?

Any roads bottom line...What file works and exactly what needs doing in resepect of eeprom ?

The data in my eeprom is changing so lifting 7 to 8 is not stopping this in a normal 24c02 eeprom

I hope some one can help clear this up for me...
