Theres about 15 or so games on there and I also installed the cios pack from the link you gave me.
With the usb loader gx when I select it in the wii menu I dont get as far as the games menu it just goes back to the wii menu and it doesn't say loading sd or loading usb like it does on mine.

Like I said in the earlier post there is no usb loadergx in the apps folder on the hdd. Ok from the start again extract this file onto a blank sd card Digital Kaos - Downloads - Usbloader gx 2.3 r1128 and d2x v7 with mmm 13.4 (I am always getting you to use a blank sd so that I know what is on it) once you have extracted this file to the sd card put the sd card in the wii and then click the gx forwarder channel and I will bet you it works....If/when it does get back to me and I will go through putting the correct files onto the hdd. Trying it this way first saves a lot of messing about if it doesn't work.

Edit...I didn't direct you to this file in the first place because I always try to fault find one thing at a time, if I had directed you straight to this we wouldn't have known if the fault lay with cios or the missing file from the apps folder. Sorry if it seems like I was leading you a merry dance, there was a reason for it.

All you have to do now to make it run without the sd card is to put an apps folder onto the hdd then copy the gx folder from the apps on the sd to new folder on the hdd, this is the reason fat 32 is recommended in modmii as it can be used to store and launch all your apps as well as games, something you can't do with wbfs.

Default USB Loader GX can't find hd

Happy Highlander, I have been reading this thread and I am having the same issues. I live in the US so I'm not sure if you can help me or not. I used the 43mod hack on my friends wii and the hd can't be detected with the USB loader. If I take the hd and put it on my wii, it works fine so I know it's not the hd. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I ran a sys check and this is what it looks like:

Well if that sysCheck is taken off the Wii that doesn't work then

IOS249 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

IOS249 is the default for the USB Loaders you have IOS245 and IOS251 with d2x-v7alpha5, IOS246 with d2x-v3 a bit of a mismatch. Do yourself a favour and install ALL 7 wads in d2x v7.0 Final.

If you did a sysCheck on the Wii that works with this HDD you will see the differences.
