I'm having a devil of a job getting it sorted but that's not really my question.
In browsing these forums, I keep seeing words like "update" referring to channel lists and firmware...so I'm beginning to wonder just how much maintenance I'm gonna have to do and how often, just to be able to watch a few sports and the occasional movie.
I just want a little diversity at a reasonable price.. I already HAVE relationships with my children that I have to frequently "update".. I don't need another one.
I don't want this to become yet another piece of technology consigned to the cupboard under the stairs because it "techied" me out of usefulness, y'know?
nothing to worry about, just find a firmware your happy with and stick with it, most updates arnt worth bothering with,so dont bother unless you have problem.the channel lists like ajs are udated to keep your lists up to date, there worth keeping an eye on every now and again as the channels move about every so often, in short if its working just leave it alone , had mine for about a year and to be honest most of the problems i have had are through meddling about with it when it was new, boys and there toys ha ha, now the novelty has worn off it does what i want out of it ,and as long as it stays that way it gets left to get on with it without much input from me .

Hmm I don't think a channel list can do that directly, there might have been a problem during flashing.. have you got an rs232 cable?

    Default openbox s11

Hi, I have an Openbox S11, with this channel list is it possible to still have the recording function to work?

If not, do you know how I could make it work using this channel list?

    Thanks

when i extract the file and stick it on the root of the usb
    it not .dbs file
    its just TP.PROGS (file)
tried that on box no file found
renamed file to TP.PROGS.DBS = file mismatch
renamed file to TP.PROGS.dbs = file mismatch

you have to extract the zip file, then you see tp.prog.dbs.
then drop that onto formatted memory stick, stick it in and update
