Ford and Mazda need a minimum of 2 keys.
When all keys are lost, and i only have a single smartkey!
Could i program this key twice, on 2 different positions?
I only have the Obdstar F100 tool.
With Avdi, it seems possible to add a single key, and leave the old ones.
As far as i can make out, f100 can only add a key when there is a working key present.
Or do the all keys lost, and erase all the old keys first.

There might allready be some post about this, but i cannot find it,

    Greeting Rob

Did KIA Sportage 2001 today with X100 OBDstar,Failed. No Communication. It has 20 pin connector.

I just not sure whether it's purely X100's fault as the car actually has one existing key but, said the owner,it is hard to start. I tried inserted the key and turn the ignition to ON position but immo light is not ON. Tried to start it immo light is blinking. Finally tried to program new key but without success. No communication.

May be anyone here can advice me what need to do to start this car?

    Immobox is shinchang.

Update : X100 managed entering the programming mode but when i tried programming the key the screen prompted "Engine Stop". And that's it..there's nothing more i can do without it as no other option available on the screen.

Anyone knows what steps need to be done to program key for this KIA? Screen only has 3 option :

    1. Program keys (already tried it but it ended up with a notification "Engine Stop"

    2. ECM Neutral (i pressed enter got a warn "ECU will be neutral and vehicle can not start. Suggest to follow manufacture manual" - Anyone here knows what does it mean?

    3. Live Data > It shows Number of keys : ----

Please..any input will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advanced.

    Best regards.

which Hyunday my friend? I tried to look the history of Sportage and found that it was build under the same or similar platform to Mazda Bongo. But X100 has no Bongo in their Mazda menu.

Thanks anyway for your input..will try to look it up.

Hi mate I dId a focus recently with smart keys all keys lost job I programmed 1 key (known smart keys) car no start I then learn it the 2nd key car starts. So definitely needs two keys as lost all keys will delete all other known keys. So no you cannot use the same programmed key as the vehicle knows that key already.
