OBDSTAR X100PROS - not sure what difference the "s" makes I presume its just a different plastic case.

Is that the package with the eeprom adapters etc? C+D type?

I'm curious to know which is the one to have. A lot of conflicting opinions. People say the Xtool one is fine, updates are good, others say avoid - get the OBDSTAR one. Some have mentioned OBDSTAR have gave up decent updates due to other tools now out.

For how cheap they are, I might just buy both and do a comparison. Has anyone done this yet?

I have obdstar c and d I did update on it last night no issues. Xtool is the clone of obdstar if I was buying a new tool now I would get obdstar tablet. It's basically all there tools in 1 yes it's kinda expensive but you get what u pay for

I have the obdstar x100pros and the xtool x100pad. I like the code calculators on the x100pad but annoyingly you have to be connected to the Bluetooth dongle to access them. Both have earned their keep. Obdstar wins it for me greater coverage.

Tried the renault option today read 4 pincodes for the one car - pincode 1 matched AVDI. Coded in a Megane mk2 card, had to manually type in the pincode which was a pain. Afterwards it didn't seem to exit programming mode with the car left waiting at the end but coded in just fine. Not many models in the options but might get you out of a bind.

I didn't mean to come accross as bragging there - I was just explaining which I own as it was asked and the difference between the two. Obviously you couldn't run a business with these but there is jobs which these can quick and convient to use. I wouldn't dream as using it without a backup.
